from Kerry

Miss Smell was born in the Phillipenes. One of my earliest memories was looking through an enormous nursery window at the sea of brown babies and my dad pointing out the only white one - "Not that one dad - it looks sick!!" Michelle has been the tannest of us all her whole life!! Michelle was also the why kid - but why? why? but why? OMG because that's the way it is!! Her curiousty has led her all over the world. Michelle has wanderlust and a sense of adventure that led us to wonder about some guy she met that has kept her wanting to maintain the same latitude and longitude for a while now...

I remember her calling me and telling me she met someone. Someone she really liked. Then she called back a while later and said not so much. Then she called again and said she was sure she liked him, then it was love. It was Ben. She described him as a bald rock star/government biologist with tatoos and an owner of a very energetic dog. Hard to imagine so we were delighted when we met him and Ike. Hard not to like. Ben has been subjected to many O'Malley functions which can be overwhelming. He endured and kept his sense of humor intact. We knew he could hang. Welcome Ben - you're stuck with us now!

Congratulations to two traveling souls who's paths connected and have taken the one less traveled by together and that will make all the difference... love you guys xo

Miss Smell

That was Kevin's affectionate (?) nickname for my older sister! Being 3 years older than me, Michelle paved my way for many things. A visit to her at Virginia Tech her freshman year inspired me to apply there and ultimately decide to go there. Once there, she helped me get into and out of many binds! Let's just say that it was a really good thing that we looked so alike then ... She also housed me, introduced me to a great group of friends, and to her crush at the Geology Library!!! Her traveling loosened up our parents to allow me to travel - for which I am very grateful, as it changed my path. I remember Ben's first Christmas at the O'Malley house with laughter - even Mairtin, who comes from a family of the same size, was overwhelmed! We are so happy that Michelle has found someone like Ben - who fits in so easily in our sibling group!!!

About Michelle

Michelle's friends and family are spread out all over the world, so it seemed to make sense to have her bridal shower in the one place where all of you could attend - online! We wanted to put this blog together to have people share stories (how you met her, favorite story about her, and your favorite things about her), photos, words of wisdom about marriage, whatever you'd like. So please enjoy reading and sharing -- and above all, help celebrate the upcoming wedding of these two fabulous people!
